Nonotuck Resources Associates (www.nonotuck.com) is a community-based agency that has been providing residential services since 1972 to people with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries. We support people who need assistance to remain living in a home setting. The individual and shared living provider share a home; the shared living provider must have an extra bedroom.
SHARED LIVING PROVIDER NEEDED
We are currently searching for a single male in Lowell, Lynn or Lawrence (Northeast) area to provide a wonderful, shared living home for a man in his 20s diagnosed with brain injury. He is an independent and engaging individual who loves to cook and would appreciate living with someone who shares similar interests and supports his daily living and skill development. He works, attends school, and enjoys staying active, so he would benefit from a supportive environment that encourages his independence while assisting with tasks like meal planning, transportation, and managing his schedule. If you are a single male in the Northeast area and able to provide supports to this person, we encourage you to apply.
Caregiver responsibilities will include planning and sharing meals, coordinating appointments and social activities, and providing assistance with budgeting, safety, and daily living skills. To qualify, all applicants must have First Aid and CPR training, a valid driver's license, own a car, pass a CORI, and meet AFC criteria. The caregiver will receive a generous stipend, training, and ongoing support. Clinical supports, nursing supports, and respite funds are also available, as needed.
