Nonotuck Resources Associates ( is a community-based agency providing residential services to people with disabilities since 1972. Just shy of 1,200 people receive Caregiving with Love in either Shared Living or Adult Family Care. Each person is surrounded by loving, dedicated, experienced and compassionate team members who provide values-based services driven by personal preference, community inclusion, and the goal of a diversity of freely given relationships.


The responsibilities of the Placement Specialist/Developer position include, but are not limited to: recruitment & screening of individuals wishing to become a shared living or Adult Family Care provider; completing the qualification process for applicants by visiting homes to develop a rapport and perform home qualification processes; maintain an ongoing list of qualified applicants, ability to work in conjunction with Program Director and Assistant Program Director to facilitate the matching process for people referred including individual and family members in their home; attend staff, DDS, referral and transition meetings; establish local community connections and education of the Adult Family Care Model and Nonotuck Resource Associates; become an active and integral participant in Nonotuck’s intake and assessment team

This position combines a hybrid working model with ability to attend in person visits to homes and to meetings.



  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of statistics, survey design and data collection
  • Computer skills, organizational planning, travel, as well as excellent communication skills are necessary


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and 2 years recent experience in the human services or a related field with a background in Marketing.


  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct and refrains from dishonest behavior
  • Complies with confidentiality and information security policies to ensure individual’s information is protected
  • Ability to work with diverse types of individuals and opinions.
  • Fosters and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity and team spirit throughout the organization
