Nonotuck Resource Associates is a community-based agency that provides residential services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. We have been providing services in the state of Massachusetts since the early 1970's. We support people who need assistance to remain living in a home setting.
Nonotuck is seeking someone who is interested in becoming a 15 hour a week direct care staff for a man with medical needs in the Lancaster area. The Direct Care staff will be an additional support to the parent and help with daily activities.
The Direct Care staff must be a patient, kind & caring person who can help with personal care. The duties of the Direct Care staff will include but not be limited to assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene and regular household routines, providing companionship, medical appointments, grocery shopping, taking walks in the community and transporting member/parent to household errands.
The following resources will be available:
- 24- Hour emergency on-call assistance
- Access to clinicians for additional support
- Training on home safety skills, medication management, and First Aid/CPR
Qualified Staff must:
- Have a valid MA driver's license
- Own their own vehicle and provide transportation during each shift.
- Be able to complete light lifting.
- Pass a standard CORI and Fingerprinting (Criminal Offender Record Information) check
- Willing to be trained in behavioral management techniques and other regulator training provided by Nonotuck
