Nonotuck Resources Associates ( is a community-based agency providing residential services to people with disabilities since 1972. We believe in the vision of life sharing and its transformative power of caring for a person in a home-setting, Nonotuck provides personalized supports to people by matching them with caring providers who open their hearts, their minds, and their homes.

Just shy of 1,200 people receive Caregiving with Love in either Shared Living or Adult Family Care. Each person is surrounded by loving, dedicated, experienced and compassionate team members who provide values-based services driven by personal preference, community inclusion, and the goal of a diversity of freely given relationships.

We are currently searching for a Shared Living Provider who is, patient, mature and willing to mentor a 20+ year old gentleman.  The preferred location would be in the Greater Greenfield MA area.  This young man, Cody enjoys having meaningful conversations and being active. Cody works on a farm in Hatfield MA during the day. He has many hobbies, including bicycling, playing basketball, talking with friends on his cell phone, playing video games. Cody likes to go shopping and would need transportation to his favorite stores outside of town. Cody spends up to 6 hours alone daily.

An ideal provider would be laid back and willing to listen.  He will need a provider who is patient and willing to assist him with organizing his money, managing medications, and the coordination of doctor appointments.  The candidate must be positive, good with instructions, organized, excellent in communication, and can make and maintain concrete schedules throughout the week.

As Cody is friendly, and funny, we are looking for a caregiver who has a good sense of humor, practices patience, is kind, and is non-judgmental. The ideal caregiver is someone who can be consistent, supportive, and help maintain relationships.

To qualify for this position, all applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, own a car, and pass the CORI. Experience working with people with disabilities and with people in the mental health field would be helpful.  In addition to having a spare room available.

Nonotuck Resource Associates provides a generous monthly stipend, relevant trainings, monthly visits and ongoing support by a Case Manager, as well as clinical supports.
