Nonotuck Resource AssociatesNonotuck Resource Associates is a residential non-profit organization committed to providing authentic and loving homes for people with developmental disabilities. Through our Shared Living Program, we seek to match people who wish to create a home together with a spirit of mutuality and love.
We are currently searching for a single male caregiver who is, patient, mature and willing to mentor a young gentleman. Preferred location would include Belchertown or surrounding areas. This young man enjoys having meaningful conversations and being active. He has so many talents and hobbies, including martial arts, Star Wars, playing the drums, and going to the gym.
An ideal provider would be laid back and willing to listen. He will need a provider who is patient and willing to assist him with organizing his personal space. The candidate must be positive, good with instructions, organized, excellent in communication, and can make and maintain concrete schedules throughout the week.
Additional roles include the ability to provide supervision and oversight with daily routines, general health maintenance around attending medical appointments and medication oversight, and community integration. We are looking for a caregiver who has a good sense of humor, practices patience, is kind, and is non-judgmental. The ideal caregiver is someone who can be consistent, supportive, and help maintain relationships.
To qualify for this position, all applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, own a car, and pass the CORI. Experience working with people with disabilities and with people in the mental health field would be helpful. In addition to having a spare room available.
Nonotuck Resource Associates provides a generous monthly stipend, relevant trainings, monthly visits and ongoing support by a Case Manager, as well as clinical supports.
