Range = $27,618 to $96,677 annually*

 *Range above represents difficulty of care payments paid to a caregiver for providing personal care services to an eligible person residing either in the caregiver’s home or in the person’s own home. Stipend rates are contingent upon assessed needs of the person and subject to state approval. Nonotuck Resource Associates (www.nonotuck.com) is a community-based agency that has provided residential services since 1972 to people with intellectual disabilities. Believing in the transformative power of caring for a person in a home setting, we support individuals by matching them with caring providers who open their hearts and homes as Shared Living Providers (SLPs). SLPs provide a flexible and supportive environment where the individual they are supporting will feel safe and secure.

POSITION SUMMARY- LIVING PROVIDER (CAREGIVER) NEEDED

We are currently seeking a kind and compassionate caregiver in Southern Berkshire County to share their home with a friendly woman in her early thirties. She is very active in her community and enjoys visiting the library, skiing, hiking, swimming, and horseback riding. She is also very social and loves running into familiar faces while out in the community.

She would thrive in a calm and structured household with a patient and supportive caregiver where mutual respect is central. Families, couples, and single caregivers are all welcome to apply, and having animals in the home would be an added bonus.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning and sharing meals together each day
  • Attending appointments and participating in community/social activities
  • Providing assistance, supervision, and teaching in areas such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and budgeting
  • Offering emotional and behavioral supports as needed

The following resources will be available:

  • 24-hour emergency on-call assistance
  • Monthly in-home visits from a Care Manager
  • Access to clinicians for additional support
  • Training on home safety skills, medication management, and First Aid/CPR
